# Privacy and Data Settings for Your Diskograf Account

> Understand what data Diskograf collects about you, how it is used, and how to reach the team to exercise your data privacy rights.

When you use Diskograf, you share some information with us so we can run the service and build a better experience for the Malaysian music community. This page gives you a plain-language summary of what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can reach us if you have questions or want to exercise your rights.

## What Diskograf Collects

Diskograf collects a small amount of information to operate the service:

* **Account data**: your email address, first name, and last name — provided when you register. Your profile photo if you upload one.
* **Usage data**: the pages you visit, how long you spend on the site, your browser type and version, your IP address, and device identifiers. This is collected automatically when you use the service.
* **Google sign-in data** (if used): if you choose to sign in via Google, Diskograf receives your name, email address, and associated activity from your Google account as part of the authentication process.

## How Your Data Is Used

Diskograf uses the information it collects to:

* Provide and maintain the Diskograf service
* Manage your account and keep it secure
* Contact you about important updates, service changes, or support matters
* Maintain artist identity links and investigate suspected impersonation
* Improve the service through analytics and usage insights

We do not sell your personal data.

## Cookies

Diskograf uses browser cookies and web beacons to keep the service running smoothly and to remember your preferences. Here's what each type does:

* **Session cookies** (necessary): these are essential for the service to function. They are created when you start a session and expire automatically when you close your browser.
* **Cookie preference cookies** (persistent): these record whether you have accepted the cookie policy, so you aren't asked again on every visit.
* **Functionality cookies** (persistent): these remember your preferences — such as display or language settings — so your experience stays consistent across visits.

You can configure cookie behaviour in your browser settings, though disabling necessary cookies may affect how the service works.

## Your Rights

You have the right to ask Diskograf about the personal data it holds on you, request corrections, or ask for your data to be deleted. To exercise any of these rights, reach out directly:

**Email**: [diskografcom@gmail.com](mailto:diskografcom@gmail.com)

We'll respond as promptly as we can.
