# Manage Your Diskograf Profile and Account Settings

> Update your Diskograf display name, username, profile photo, and account settings to personalize your presence in the Malaysian music community.

Your Diskograf profile is your public identity in Malaysia's music credits community. It shows who you are, what you've contributed, and — if you're an artist — connects to your artist presence in the database. Keeping your profile up to date helps other users understand your work.

## Your Public Profile

Every Diskograf account comes with a public profile at `diskograf.com/{username}`. Anyone visiting that URL can see your display name, profile image, activity, and Loved Songs. Artist profiles also show the linked artist's works and credits. Your profile's **Under Review** view is private to you.

## Updating Your Profile

  <Step title="Sign in to your account">
    Go to [diskograf.com](https://diskograf.com) and select **Sign in with Google**. The same action creates an account for new members.

  </Step>

  <Step title="Edit your details">
    Update your username, display name, real name, profile image, artist link, aliases, biography, location, birthday, and social links as needed. Artist profiles can also include collaborators and music-service links.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save your changes">
    Confirm and save. Your updated profile will be visible to other users immediately.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Profile Photo

During onboarding, Diskograf requires you to upload a profile image. You can replace or remove it later from your profile settings.

## Username

Your username is more than a login detail — it becomes part of your permanent public URL at `diskograf.com/{username}`. Choose something clear and memorable, ideally something you'll be happy to share publicly.

Keep in mind: **changing your username will change your public URL**. Any links others have saved to your profile under the old username will no longer work, so it's worth choosing carefully from the start.

<Note>
  If you are an artist, linking an artist profile is part of setting up your public identity. You can search for an existing artist or create one from your profile settings. See [Claiming a Profile](/identity/claiming-profile) for the identity rules.
