A Diskograf account is your identity in the community. It lets you contribute credits, correct errors, save songs you love, and maintain a public profile. If you’re a recording artist, you can link your account to an artist profile during onboarding. Accounts are free to create.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Diskograf account, in accordance with Diskograf’s Terms of Service.

To create an account, open the sign-in page and select Sign in with Google. If you’re new to Diskograf, Google sign-in also creates your account. Diskograf does not currently offer a separate email-and-password sign-up flow. After you sign in for the first time, onboarding asks you to upload a profile image, choose a username and display name, and select whether you use Diskograf as a Fan or Artist. The profile image is required before you can finish onboarding. If you choose Artist, search for your existing artist profile or create one if it is not listed. Confirm that the artist identity belongs to you before saving.

Account Types

Diskograf has two profile paths. You choose one during onboarding. You can start as a Fan and link an artist identity later from your profile settings.
A fan account is the default for anyone joining Diskograf as a listener, researcher, or enthusiast. With a fan account you can:
  • Browse the full catalogue of Malaysian songs, artists, and labels without any restrictions
  • Contribute credits — add new songs, attach missing credits, and correct existing information
  • Save songs you love to your public Loved Songs page
  • Maintain your public profile with a display name, image, activity, and other profile details
A fan account is the right choice for the vast majority of Diskograf users. You don’t need to be an artist to be a valued member of the community.

Profile Setup

Your public profile on Diskograf is how the community knows you. Here’s what you can configure:
  • Display name — the name shown next to your contributions and on your profile page. This can be your real name, an alias, or anything you prefer.
  • Profile image — required during onboarding and updateable from your account settings. A recognisable image makes it easier for collaborators and fans to find you.
  • Username — your unique handle on Diskograf. Your public profile URL is diskograf.com/yourusername. Choose carefully — while usernames can be changed, your previous URL will no longer redirect once updated.
To update any of these details after sign-up, visit your profile settings.
