You need a Diskograf account to edit a song. Use Suggest an edit to correct a published song, or use Contributions to manage songs you added or helped edit.

Edit a published song

Use Suggest an edit when you find incorrect or missing information on a published song.
1

Open the song page

Search for the song title or artist name, then open the published song you want to correct.
2

Choose Suggest an edit

Select Suggest an edit on the song page. Diskograf opens a section picker so you can update the part of the record that needs attention.
3

Choose a section

Select one of the available sections:
  • YouTube Video
  • Song Title
  • Song Credits
  • Streaming Links
  • Artwork
  • Release Date
  • Genres
  • Record Label
  • Lyrics & Notes, including song duration
4

Make and save the correction

Update the fields you can verify. Confirm the music-information truthfulness pledge, then select Save. The change is saved directly to the song and credited to your account.

Manage your contributions

Use Contributions to find songs you added or helped edit. This private view is useful when you want to continue improving a song or check its status.
1

Open Contributions

Sign in, open your profile, and select Contributions. You can also choose Manage contributions from the account menu.
2

Find the song

Search by song, artist, label, or year. Filter the list by Pending or Published, or sort it by the most recently edited, released, added, or by title.
3

Choose Edit

Select Edit beside the song. Choose the section you want to change, update the information, confirm the truthfulness pledge, and save the change.
Songs you added that are still under review appear in your private Under Review view. You can edit these submissions while they are pending, but other visitors cannot see them until they are published.

What you can edit

You can correct the song’s title, YouTube video, release information, genres, labels, artwork, streaming links, lyrics, notes, duration, and credits. For the complete role list and credit workflow, see Add and Edit Song Credits. If you performed a role that is missing from a published song, use Claim your credit when the song is already in the catalogue. If the song itself is missing, follow Adding Songs.

Before you save

  • Check the song and artist identity before changing anything.
  • Use a reliable source, such as release packaging, official streaming metadata, or an official artist or label source.
  • Change only information you can verify.
  • Review the updated fields and credit roles before saving.
Every saved edit is attributed to your account and appears in the song’s contribution activity. See Contribution History to learn how Diskograf records these changes.
