Diskograf brings together the creative history of Malaysian music. The Artists page is a searchable directory, and each artist profile includes the songs and roles associated with that artist.

Find an artist

There are three ways to get to an artist:
  • Browse the artist directory — Open Artists and search the catalogue.
  • Search from the header — Use the site search to search artist names and aliases.
  • Open a profile directly — Unclaimed artist profiles use diskograf.com/artist/{id}-{slug}. When an artist profile is linked to a member account, the canonical public URL is diskograf.com/{username} and the old artist URL redirects there.

Filter the artist directory

The directory supports:
  • Keyword search
  • Credit-role filtering
  • Verified or Unclaimed status filtering
  • Band or Solo type filtering
  • Sorting by name or song count
  • Pagination
Use the filters together to narrow the directory to the artists you need.

Artist profile pages

An artist profile can include:
  • Profile image, name, aliases, and biography
  • Group or solo status, location, and social links when available
  • Genre breakdown
  • Full discography with credited roles
  • Associated acts and collaborators when available

Filter an artist’s works

The works grid can be narrowed by:
  • Credit role
  • One or more genres
  • Keyword search
You can also sort works by latest or oldest release, YouTube views, views per day, trending order, title, or catalogue order. The results are paginated, and active filters are reflected in the URL. For example:

Artist aliases

Artists can be known by a stage name, shortened name, alternate romanisation, or another alias. Diskograf indexes aliases so that searching for a known variant can lead to the same artist profile. For multi-word names, use quotes in the search filter:
